Righteousness: It Changes Everything

In our last post, I shared about the subject of Righteousness and how it’s the pathway to accessing the Father. There are four principles I brought out about Righteousness (they are all found in the Our Father prayer):
  1. Know who the Father is
  2. Know who I am in relationship to the Father
  3. Know who the enemy is
  4. Know how to worship
These four principles change the way we think, the way we talk and the way we act! Transformation happens as we renew our mind and begin to think like God thinks. The more renewed our mind is, the more understanding we have so we can overcome and live a victorious life in Christ. Too many times we look at the problem and our mind says we cannot overcome, it’s too hard, and I can’t see how it can change. With that kind of thinking, we are definitely limited to what we can think not what God can think.
Righteousness opens the door to the Father and makes a way for us to come boldly to the throne of God and make our requests known. We can expect God to fulfill His Word in us. Understanding righteousness makes us more willing to ask Him for what we need and much more willing to expect that He will do what He said He would! Confident expectation is what we have when we have true Bible hope. Righteousness allows us to HOPE, or to have confident expectation because it has opened the door to the Father. Don’t lose hope. Look at Hebrews 10:16-23. In this portion of scripture, we see the covenant the Father made with us and it’s about boldness to enter into His presence by a new and living way! He remembers our sin no more and we are forgiven when we ask, and washed clean by the Blood of Jesus. We can have full assurance of FAITH, and give every effort to hold fast the profession (confession) of our faith!
You can see how important Righteousness is in this equation because none of this is possible unless a way was made to the Father and that way is Righteousness. Believing we are made Righteous by the Blood of the Lamb and understanding it helps us to boldly proclaim the Word of God (profession of our faith)!

No matter what is happening in your life today, always remember, do not give up the profession of your faith. Keep your confident expectation (hope) up and you will march over into the land of victory in Christ. There is nothing too hard for God, no mountain too big, no valley too low. He is our all in all and you are to look to Him, the Author and Finisher of our faith, Jesus Christ the Righteous!
